Massage Therapy in Lake Villa, IL
Massage therapy at One Goal Wellness is built around the same goal as everything else we do here, which is getting you out of pain and keeping you there. Our licensed massage therapist works alongside Dr. Tia Torres, so the soft tissue work you receive is coordinated with your chiropractic care rather than happening in isolation. You do not have to be a chiropractic patient to book a massage with us, and plenty of people come in for massage alone.
Massage services we offer
Swedish massage
Long, flowing strokes at lighter to moderate pressure. Swedish massage is the right starting point if you are new to massage, if you are managing stress, or if you want the circulation and relaxation benefits without deep pressure. It is also a good choice between chiropractic adjustments to keep muscles from tightening back up.
Deep tissue massage
Slower, firmer work that reaches the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Deep tissue is the better fit for chronic tightness, old injuries, stubborn knots, and the neck and shoulder tension that comes from desk work or repetitive lifting. Pressure is always adjusted to what you can comfortably tolerate.
Cupping therapy
Our therapist is certified in both silicone and glass cupping. Cups create suction that lifts the tissue rather than compressing it, which can help with circulation, range of motion, and areas that have not responded to hands-on pressure alone. Cupping often leaves temporary circular marks on the skin. They are not bruises and they typically fade within a few days.
Meet Stella Warzecha, Licensed Massage Therapist

Hello! My name is Stella Warzecha and I am a licensed massage therapist who has been practicing since 2025. I specialize in Swedish massage and deep tissue. I also have a certification in silicone and glass cupping. I am licensed by the State of Illinois, license number 227024316.
My favorite part about being a massage therapist is when my patients are leaving my table feeling more relaxed, rejuvenated and better than how they felt before coming into the office. As a massage therapist I have one goal in mind, making my patients feel their best.
My future professional goals are going back to school and getting a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology: exercise science. During my free time I like to spend time with my dog Dante, watch a couple of shows or sports, going to the gym, and baking. I love coffee and tea. I could never choose a favorite, but my favorite dish has to be pierogies.
How massage works alongside chiropractic care
Chiropractic care restores motion to joints that have stopped moving the way they should. Massage addresses the muscles and soft tissue surrounding those joints. When the muscles around a segment stay tight, they tend to pull it right back out of position, which is why some people feel like an adjustment never quite holds. Pairing the two gives the adjustment a better chance of lasting.
If you are already a patient here, Dr. Torres can tell you whether adding massage makes sense for what you are dealing with, and where in your care plan it fits best.
What to expect at your first massage
Your first visit starts with a short conversation about what is bothering you, what you do all day, any injuries or surgeries in your history, and what you want out of the session. From there your therapist will recommend an approach and check in on pressure as she works. You stay covered throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered at any given time.
Drink water afterward, and expect to feel some soreness for a day or so after deep tissue work. That is normal and it passes.
Common questions about massage therapy
What is the difference between Swedish and deep tissue massage?
Swedish massage uses lighter, flowing pressure and is aimed at relaxation and circulation. Deep tissue uses slower, firmer pressure to reach deeper muscle layers and is aimed at chronic tension and older injuries. Many people start with Swedish and move to deep tissue as they get comfortable.
Does cupping hurt?
Most people describe cupping as a pulling or tugging sensation rather than pain. The suction is adjustable, so tell your therapist if it feels like too much. The circular marks it can leave are temporary and usually fade within a few days.
Do I have to be a chiropractic patient to book a massage?
No. You are welcome to book massage on its own. If you are also seeing Dr. Torres, the two can be coordinated, but that is entirely up to you.
How do I book a massage appointment?
Call the office at 847-265-5600 and we will find a time that works. You can also send us a request through our contact page and we will call you back to get you on the schedule.
